Assistant Manager

Prior experience in a fast-paced restaurant setting is required. Our Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant and assisting the general manager throughout operation.

Your duties will include hiring and training restaurant staff, speaking with guests to address concerns or solve problems, and creating work schedules for restaurant staff. This position demands creativity, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain the highest standards. You must work well under pressure and be organized, flexible, self-motivated, reliable & more.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid drivers license
  • Minimum 1 year management experience in face-paced restaurant environment
  • 3 years of high-volume restaurant / bar experience
  • Demonstrated computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping and preparation of reports
  • Self-discipline, initiative, leadership ability and outgoing personality
  • Ability to motivate employees to work as a team to ensure that food and service meet appropriate standards
  • Able to handle the pressures of coordinating a wide range of activities and recommending appropriate solutions to restaurant problems
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. repetitively throughout the entire shift
  • Able to stand, bend, push and lift for long periods of time
